Ben Walgate's Chardonnay, made at his Rye winery from two clay sites in the south east — one farmed biodynamically, one conventionally. Whole-bunch pressed and fermented in a mix of stainless steel and oak barrels of varying size and age: fleshy apricot and taut ripe citrus up front, salty and nutty underneath.
