Stephen Pannell is one of Australia's great Grenache champions, and Basso ('low') is his low-sulphur, unfiltered take on it. Dry-grown McLaren Vale fruit raised in large old vats. Bright raspberry, cherry and watermelon with rose petal and a little spice, medium-bodied with sandy tannins. A red that takes a light chill; great with charcuterie or barbecue.
